Currently, the Board of Directors is comprised of five (5) voting members serving two-year terms beginning on January 1 of even numbered years and ends December 31 of odd-numbered years. Unless appointed by the taxing entities as a voting member, the County Assessor-Collector serves as a non-voting Director.
The Bexar Appraisal District Board of Directors has the following primary responsibilities: 1) Hiring the Chief Appraiser; 2) Appointing the Taxpayer Liaison Officer and Appraisal Review Board members; and 3) Approving the budget. Participating taxing units elect the Board of Directors.
Meetings are held every fourth Monday of the month at 5:00 PM at the Bexar Appraisal District Office located at 411 N. Frio Street, unless noted otherwise.
